Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of TabKeep, an iPhone app for recording shared expenses, balances, receipts, payments, and group activity.
Using TabKeep
You may use TabKeep to track personal and group expenses. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including expense amounts, participants, currencies, receipts, and payment records.
TabKeep helps calculate balances and suggested settlements, but it does not move money, process payments, provide banking services, or guarantee that another person will pay you.
Accounts and Access
You can start using TabKeep without creating an account. Some features, including shared groups, invites, sync, and account recovery, may require a device identity, sign-in, or backend service access.
You are responsible for keeping access to your device and account secure. If you believe someone has unauthorized access to your shared groups or account, contact support.
Shared Groups
When you create or join a shared group, other members may see group information, expenses, payments, receipts, member names, and activity that belongs to that group. Only invite people you intend to share that information with.
Deleting or leaving a shared group may not remove information already viewed, copied, exported, or retained by other members.
Acceptable Use
Do not use TabKeep to upload unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading content. Do not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security, abuse invite links, scrape service data, reverse engineer backend access controls, or use the app in a way that harms other users.
Receipts and Content
You retain ownership of the content you enter or upload. You grant TabKeep the limited permission needed to store, process, sync, display, and transmit that content so the app can provide its features.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload receipt photos or other content you add to the app.
Exchange Rates and Calculations
Currency conversion, statistics, balances, and settlement suggestions are provided for convenience. Rates may be delayed, unavailable, or different from rates used by banks, card issuers, or payment providers. Check important calculations before relying on them.
Availability
Some TabKeep features work offline. Server-backed features may be interrupted by maintenance, network failures, third-party outages, app updates, or unsupported app versions.
Third-Party Services
TabKeep may rely on third-party services such as Apple, Google, push notification infrastructure, deep-link providers, hosting providers, and exchange-rate providers. Their own terms and policies may apply when you use related features.
Disclaimer
TabKeep is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TabKeep and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or financial disputes between group members.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as TabKeep changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use TabKeep after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
